Miami Dolphins Give Opposing Defenses a lot to Fear

It was just one week ago that the Miami Dolphins defense was being discussed as one of the worst in the league. Kurt Warner and the Arizona Cardinals torched the Dolphins defense for 445 yards and four touchdowns in a 31-10 rout that was basically over before it started.
This week, the Miami Dolphins turned a complete three-sixty. After a 38-13 pummeling of the once-mighty Patriots, the country is trying to figure out not why Matt Cassel couldn’t hit the blind side of a barn (because that was expected), but how the “lowly” and “moribund” Miami Dolphins embarrassed a Bill Beli-cheat *cough* Belichick defense.
Ronnie Brown and what looked like an all-star Miami Dolphins’ offensive line demolished New England for 467 total yards and all sense of respect on a college-run option play that was coined by the Arkansas Razorbacks and Darren McFadden. Perhaps Beli-cheat’s cameras would have helped him figure out this complex play after the first, second, third, or even fourth touchdown!
Miami enters its bye-week on an extremely high note while riding a huge wave of confidence. The Dolphins could, and should be 2-1 after an extremely close defeat at the hands of a Brett Favre-run Jets team that might not be as great as the media has cracked them out to be.
It’s great to think that the Patriots and Jets could possibly sink back down to the depths of the AFC East again where they belong and another intense Bills-Dolphins rivalry will emerge. I know I’m getting ahead of myself, but it’s hard not to after that perfect game.
