As predicted by most writers (and they are the ones who make the selection anyway) Peyton Manning received his third MVP award with Miami's Chad Pennington placing second in the balloting.

If viewed from the perspective of judging the player who was the most valuable to their team, there is no doubt in most Dolfan minds that the wrong guy got the prize.

Clearly, Pennington who guided the 1-15 Dolphins to an AFC East Championship and an 11-5 record deserved the award more than anyone else in the NFL.

And judging by the reaction in the Dolphins locker room this is just another example of this Miami Dolphins team and its leader on the field being snubbed and disrespected.

I can't think of a sweeter scenario than the Dolphins making it to the AFC Championship game against the Colts so that Pennington can demonstrate on a national stage just why he deserved that award. Hey, he did it against Favre in Favre's house, why not against Manning?

Wishful thinking I know, but in this magical, miracle season, I think we are allowed to dream a little.

However, if we play Indy in the AFC Championship, we'll play that game at home since they are a 5 seed and we are a 3 seed.

No doubt Pennington was more valuable to this team. Manning is an excellent QB and deserves recognition like this, but what he did this year was no more special than what he has done any year. Any season the Colts would be without Manning, it would be devastating for them.

He did not have to do what Chad Pennington did and completely change the culture and mindset of an offense and a team and lead them to a division championship. Heck the Colts didn't even win their division, so this season was a downgrade from last year!

Pennington didn't win simply because his numbers, other than passer rating, aren't close to Peyton's. I'm glad Pennington didn't win it...What? Yea, I like the chip on his shoulder going into the playoffs. He's played great with it all year and so has the team. They will rally around him for this.

Let them say what they want, they wrote us off along time ago, and we have proved them wrong time and time again, We have done something no one can take from us, and we will prove them wrong yet again, no matter what happends. We are The Miami Dolphins and we are hear to stay.
Bring on the world, we can take em.
