For me, this pre-season has been a big tease. Face it Dolfans, we feign interest in the battle for starting spots on the offensive line, we pretend to agonize over whether or not the secondary is going to gell in time or at all, we even teater on the edge of a quarterback controversy when Chad Henne has troubles and Chad Pennington places professional completions softly into the hands of Ricky Williams.

But the real deal, the real interest, is Brandon Marshall. A pass is dropped by Brandon and Dolfandom goes into suicide watch. A 26 yd reception over the middle in traffic gets received with whoops and high fives, and knowing nods. Right now, the Dolphin season rides on Brandon's hands. And right now, Brandon hasn't actually done much. Not even a sniff at a touch-down.

This post is a message to all Dolfans.

Relax. That's all. Relax. What we've been witnessing has merely been the rehearsals. The early stages of a relationship between an awesome talent and a developing talent. Brandon Marshall is close to the best in the business. Chad Henne is starting his first full year as a starter, but he has huge upside. It may take a little time, but, believe me, this combo is going to light up your lives, Dolfans.

Have faith. The Beast is yet to come!

Yeah, I don't think we've blitzed once all pre-season, and I don't think we even gameplanned for the Falcons. The calls on offense and defense have been very vanilla, and I think it's intentional. We play all three of our AFC East foes in the first 4 games and we don't want to show them anything!

Remember, the 1972 Dolphins went 0-4 in the pre-season.

Absolutely! Look at the Colts. They never care about pre-season results. I have absolutely NO DOUBT that Marshall and Henne will be better than fine, and the running game will be strong. Look out Buffalo, 'cos here we come! Good to be back. Looking forward to the new site MD. Go FINS!!!!!!
