San Diego sports writer, Dan McLellan tweeted earlier (http://twitter.com/sandiegosports) that the Dolphins have interest in trading for Chargers WR Vincent Jackson who is currently on the trading block.
I find this hard to believe seeing as Jackson will serve a 3-game NFL suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy. The asking price for Jackson is a second round pick, and the Dolphins already gave up two of those for Brandon Marshall earlier this off season.
Having said that, though, the thought of having another big, physical wide receiver like Jackson in Miami is lip-licking delicious! Opposing defensive coordinators would go in-sane trying to game plan for the Dolphins passing game, and Chad Henne could instantly become a Pro Bowler.
The question is, do we need him? Is our offense good enough with just one star? Will Marshall do enough to open the field up for players such as Ronnie Brown, Ricky Williams, Anthony Fasano, Davone Bess, and Brian Hartline? Is Hartline an NFL starter?
We'll see what happens, but something tells me this tweet has nothing behind it. I just don't see Parcells trading for a WR who can't play the first three games (Bills, Vikings, Jets).
