We play AT the Vikings in week 2 in a hostile environment. The Vikings without Brett Favre do not look that scary. Still a good team, but now that's suddenly a winnable game.

This could change the outlook of the whole season. This could be the difference between starting 1-1 and 2-0, and 2-0 makes us a look a lot better when playing the Jests and Pats in week 3 and 4. Momentum baby!

Let's Go Dolphins!!!

I wonder how long it'll be till the Vikings call the Dolphins looking to trade for Chad Pennington?

He is the best backup out there.

Yeah, but the Vikings might be willing to give up more than his value because they need a starter. Travares Jackson isn't taking that team anywhere. And Sage Rosenfels has flashes of being a good QB but then makes too many mental errors.

Simmer down guys, Favre hasn't officially retired, and even if he had I wouldn't believe it until the season was officially over. We'll beat the Vikings with or without him..

That’s going to be a really tough game regardless, but it’ll make it much easier on our weaker unit (the defense) if Favre isn’t the QB.

I think this is really it for Favre. He took a team that had all it needed to make it to the SB and got his ass whooped in the championship game. What makes anyone think he can join another team and go further at this point in his career?

Yeah, I mean, I just don't see his foot getting better if it hasn't healed by now. This is his body saying shut it down buddy!

This story broke about mid-day FishFace... it doesn't mean he's back. What it means is he OBVIOUSLY thinks his foot is not going to heal and that's why he was sending all those texts.

Armando Salguero thinking along the same lines as me re: trading Chad Pennington.

I think a second rounder is good, but not a third.

mdbw

A second rounder would be amazing. And they would definitely be desperate in overpaying for him. And you never know, Rick Spielman gave up a 2nd rounder for AJ Feely!!!

However, Pennington isn't really suited for that high-powered offense, I don't think.

Favre is going nowhere but Minnesota. Pennington is going nowhere but Miami....... And the Jets are going nowhere.

Hmmmm.... well the old fart won't be able to handle our defense. Or the Jets for that matter...

That high school team he has been playing with the last few weeks, well I just found out they don't want him , so Minnesota had to take him back, to bad for The Vikings.

He had a few good throws to his TE and one to Camarillo, but not much else. I think they are going to need to get Greg and Brett to work more together for the game against Miami and we are going to have to cover him well. Sacking Favre will do us a world of good too. His ankle is still sore.
